Emissions Repair Guide

Consumers: Find a vehicle repair facility that scores high (REI) for fixing emissions failures. IF, you attempt repairs but the vehicle continues to fail, you can visit a State Emissions Technical Center for help diagnosing the vehicle problem. The ETCs do not do repairs but the diagnostic evaluation is FREE and can then be taken for repairs.

EMISSIONS TECHNICAL CENTERS

The state of Colorado operates Emissions Technical Centers in the program area and will evaluate your vehicle to determine the reason for the emissions failure. There is no charge for this service. However, evaluations are limited to motorists whose vehicles have failed an initial inspection, attempted repairs, and failed the free re-inspection.
