TO HELP IMPROVE AIR QUALITY

Vehicle emissions are still a significant part of the air pollution problem in Colorado. 
New emissions standards will help address this problem beginning Jan. 1, 2022.

If a vehicle that fails the I/M 240 inspection in 2021 must receive repairs and retest by DEC. 31, 2021, to be tested with 2021 standards. Inspection standards tighten on January 3, 2022.

No inspection with 2021 standards will be allowed after Dec. 31, 2021.
