Avoid Emissions Testing the Day After Independence Day! | ||

|
July 2, 2001 Envirotest vehicle emissions testing centers will be CLOSED Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The emission stations are closed on all state holidays. Extremely heavy customer volumes are expected at the test centers on Thursday, July 5. Normally, the day after any holiday is very busy at emissions stations, but the 5th of July has historically been one of the busiest days of the year. The stations are geared up for the expected demand, but waiting lines are probably inevitable. Folks with July renewals who want to avoid a potentially long wait time should plan to avoid testing on Thursday, July 5. In general, people needing emissions tests can minimize or avoid waiting in lines by coming before 9 a.m. and after 4 p.m. on weekdays, or on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Avoid the first few days and last few days of the month, Mondays, and the day after any holiday. Customers can call the Air Care Colorado hotline, 303-456-7090, or visit www.aircarecolorado.com, for best times to test, locations, directions and other program information.
